“Whenever I find a broken object, I encapsulate it with recycled steel. I leave the capsule outside for a few weeks until it rusts, then I perform a ritual. When the dance is over, everything is repaired.”

The rust, an agent of corrosion and decay, acts as a protective barrier that the artist uses all over the body during the ritual performances. The result is conceptual, totem-like forms that take their shape from what we cannot see. If the capsules are moved, you can hear the object inside. 'Post Digital’ Paul Carey-Kent, 2016.
